Dr . Sherif Shawky Zaki Hindi is currently an associate professor in the Department of Arid land Agriculture (Renewable Natural Resources Branch) , Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture, King Abdulaziz University , Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his B. Sc. in 1985 , Master Degree in 1994 and Ph.D. in 2001 in Forestry and Wood Technology Dept., Faculty of Agriculture , Alexandria Univ. He has been supervising on the Agricultural Machines and Vehicles Maintenance unit in Agricultural Research Station (ARS) at Hada Al-Sham. Further, he is supervisor of the E-Learning Unit in the faculty as well as a member in each of Academic Accreditation, the ARS and the Internet Committees. He represented the Deanship of Graduate Studies to referee two MSc-examinations. He worked in several research projects funded internationally for Alex. Univ. and Ministry of Agric. In Egypt. He had registered two patent no's 174 and 175/1991 in Ministry of High Education and Scientific Research , namely periodic attention device and synchronized disconductor for electric current, respectively. Further, he has granted a final patent on 26/1/2016 , namely, adjustable heat exchanger (Attorney Docket No. 30287.22, no. 20140251578A, final patent certificate no. 9243852B2, in the United States assigned by King Abdullaziz University. In addition, two previously registered patents were completed filing, namely, "a method for making nanoocrystalline cellulose" (Attorney Docket No. 30287.70A) at Littman Law (Patent Law Building, 8955 Center Street, Manassas, VA 2010 in the United States assigned by King Abdullaziz University) and "production of carbonaceous sponge from carbon rich-fly ash using poly-vinyl acetate (Attorney Docket No. 30287.79A at Littman attorney office, USA. Another patents about microcrystalline cellulose, liquid crystal display (LCD and LED) , a method for delignification and bioplastics are under registrations.
